Sci-Tech Innovation Converges Wisdom, Nanyang Gathers Momentum: The Wenzhou-Nanyang Technological University Joint Research Institute Project Matchmaking Conference Successfully Held

Spring came to the land of Ouyue, and a wave of sci-tech innovation surged. On April 8, 2026, the Project Matchmaking Conference of the Wenzhou-Nanyang Technological University Joint Research Institute grandly opened at China Eye Valley. Centered on the theme of "Connecting Global Sci-Tech Innovation Resources to Empower Wenzhou's Industrial Upgrading," the event brought together more than 50 distinguished guests, including government leaders, leading scholars, prominent investors, entrepreneurial pioneers, and alumni representatives of Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Ten cutting-edge sci-tech innovation achievements were showcased, and a high-level platform was established for China-Singapore sci-tech cooperation, deep industry-research integration, and precise capital matchmaking—injecting strong Nanyang wisdom and innovative vitality into Wenzhou's efforts to build a regional sci-tech innovation center and promote high-quality development of its manufacturing industry.

At the conference, Professor Liang Gaolin, Executive Dean of the Joint Research Institute; Shen Linjie, Deputy Secretary-General of the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government; and Professor Qu Jia, Chairman of China Eye Valley, delivered speeches respectively. They emphasized that, leveraging the trinity innovation ecosystem of "talent cultivation—scientific and technological innovation—industrial transformation," optimal policy and service support, and the full industry-chain resources of China Eye Valley, they would advance the implementation of sci-tech innovation outcomes in Wenzhou. Cai Qinhuai, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the District Party Committee, also gave an on-site interpretation of Longwan District's industrial talent policies and answered questions from attendees. In the core session, ten projects covering cutting-edge fields such as tumor immunotherapy and non-invasive diagnosis, led by Professor Zhao Yanli, Professor Zheng Yuanjin, and other leading researchers, completed their roadshows, with their technical innovation and implementation feasibility winning recognition from the investors. Longwan District's investment promotion authorities and innovation platforms held in-depth discussions and exchanges with the roadshow teams on follow-up landing and cooperation matters, and initial cooperation intents were reached on multiple projects, effectively promoting the deep integration of government, industry, academia, research, and capital.
