On the morning of April 14, 2026, the "Tornado" matchmaking event series was successfully held at the Wenzhou-Nanyang Technological University Joint Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute"). Themed "Into Nanyang Technological University, Dialoguing on Future Development," the event aimed to help new-generation entrepreneurs broaden their international horizons, seize globalization opportunities, and comprehensively enhance their core competitiveness by building a high-level platform for government-business-research exchange.

At the beginning of the event, accompanied by Gao Yi, Vice Dean of the Institute, heads of relevant functional departments of the Wenzhou Bay New District (Longwan District) government and the delegation of new-generation entrepreneurs toured the Institute's exhibition hall. During the visit, Vice Dean Gao Yi gave a detailed introduction to the Institute's development history, strategic research layout, and talent recruitment mechanisms.

Focus on Globalization Strategy, Empowering Enterprises to Go Global

At the subsequent symposium, Vice Dean Gao Yi provided a detailed introduction to the institute's organizational profile and key international cooperation projects. Among these, the "Wenzhou Entrepreneurs Advanced Seminar on Globalization Strategy," designed to cultivate business leaders with a global perspective, drew significant attention from the entrepreneurs present. The seminar features a comprehensive curriculum covering critical modules such as macro strategy and global vision building, cross-cultural leadership enhancement, and cutting-edge technology and business model reshaping, which will provide intellectual support for enterprises' overseas expansion.

Sharing Listing Experience to Stimulate Internal Corporate Drive

The event also featured a dedicated IPO coaching session. Mr. Chen Yongxing, Director and Deputy General Manager of Founder Group, was invited to deliver a special report entitled "Founder Group's Experience in Enterprise Restructuring and Listing." Drawing on years of practical experience, Chen systematically elaborated on the key considerations in corporate listing decisions, covering multiple dimensions including the selection and structuring of the listing entity, analysis of capital market board positioning, identification and cooperation with intermediaries, and timing of filing. He pointed out that listing is a long-term strategic undertaking for enterprises, requiring persistent determination and comprehensive communication and coordination. During the interactive exchange, Chen provided a balanced analysis of the brand premium, financing convenience, and talent aggregation effects brought by listing, while also objectively noting real challenges such as financial transparency pressures and increased compliance costs. By dissecting typical cases such as Jianeng Technology and Jianan Technology, he offered highly valuable practical insights for the entrepreneurs present.

Deepening Government-Business Services, Building Industry Matchmaking Platforms

During the open exchange session, the Enterprise Service Center of Wenzhou Bay New District (Longwan District) introduced an enterprise dialogue platform currently under development, which selects benchmark companies, customizes themes, and organizes study visits and resource matchmaking. At the same time, the center consolidates training needs across the district, adopts a "group purchasing" model to introduce external high-quality courses, and promotes precise upstream-downstream matchmaking within the district's industrial chain to facilitate outcome commercialization and reduce procurement costs. Entrepreneurs attending the event expressed that such practical initiatives help enhance regional industrial synergy and stimulate the vitality of the private economy.

"This edition of the 'Tornado' matchmaking event, through a variety of formats including on-site visits, thematic presentations, expert lectures, and open exchanges, provided the next-generation entrepreneurs of Longwan District with cutting-edge global perspectives, practical IPO guidance, and feasible pathways for going global. Looking ahead, the Wenzhou–NTU Joint Research Institute will continue to play its bridging role, leveraging its international research and talent advantages to steadily support regional enterprises in achieving high-quality development."
