The Wenzhou Research Institute in collaboration with NTU (WRIN) was officially launched on October 22, 2025. It integrates research teams from Wenzhou and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) to conduct sustainable research and innovation in key areas and to promote high‑quality international scientific and technological cooperation. The College of Engineering at NTU is one of the largest engineering schools in the world, with nearly 10,000 undergraduate and 7,000 postgraduate students. As a globally renowned research‑intensive university, the College ranks 2nd in Engineering in the U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Global Universities rankings. In the latest 2027 QS World University Rankings by Subject, six of its disciplines rank among the global top 10, with Materials Science ranking the highest at 3rd worldwide. With world‑class facilities, a vibrant research ecosystem, and deep industry partnerships, NTU provides an ideal environment for visiting scholars to conduct cutting‑edge interdisciplinary research. To advance frontier research and strengthen academic exchange and cooperation, we are now openly recruiting visiting scholars from Longwan District to conduct scientific research at NTU. The specific details are hereby announced as follows:
I. Positions and Quotas

Eye health and related fields, including but not limited to biomaterials, early diagnostic technologies, and data analysis engineering.
III. Management and Fulfillment Requirements
3.1 Funding and Benefits: During the visit, the Institute will provide corresponding salary and allowances. Specific standards will be discussed individually.
3.2 Contract Duration and Service Obligation: The selected scholar shall sign a relevant agreement with the Institute for a period of no less than 2 years, which includes:
Conducting visiting research at NTU, generally for 1 year;
Upon completion of the visit, in principle, the scholar shall engage in scientific research or related work in Wenzhou for no less than 1 year.
3.3 Requirements During the Visit: The scholar must carry out research according to the approved research plan and submit periodic progress reports and a final summary of outcomes as required.
IV. Eligibility Requirements
4.1 Applicants must uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, abide by laws and regulations, have good moral character, and be in good physical and mental health.
4.2 Hold a doctoral degree obtained domestically or abroad, generally under 40 years of age (may be extended to 45 for exceptionally outstanding candidates or in critical shortage areas).
4.3 Possess solid professional foundations and strong research capabilities. Preference will be given to those who have published academic papers as first author or corresponding author in SCI‑indexed journals.
4.4 During the visiting period, applicants must be fully released from their current duties to engage in collaborative research or further study at NTU on a full‑time basis.

Doctoral degree certificate and graduation certificate (recent graduates may provide defense certification) and professional title certificate;
Representative academic achievements (papers, patents, etc.) and a draft research plan;
Two letters of recommendation from senior professors in the same field (one must be from the applicant's doctoral supervisor);
A recent medical examination report from a Grade III Level A hospital.
